Finally - the Gazette is back!

After years of hibernation the Bocce Gazette is finally back in circulation! Last season's mishap was certainly the deciding factor of bringing back the still obscure Gazette, but with the Key West Clubhouse finally officially open, it's quite an easier path than it was before.

So, look forward to the coming season when again the daily updates are being published.

Cowboy Bills - A True Bocce Dynasty

Last weekend the Southernmost Bocce League ended their Fall Season with the post season tournament to determine the overall league champion!

The top 5 teams of each night qualified for this competition and again it was the Monday Night's division champion which earned the "Bragging Rights" to be called the Best of Key West!

The season will officially end with the Bocce Prom at Dante's on Caroline Street.

Cowboy Bills 4-peat

Cowboy Bills just set a new standard for the Southernmost Bocce League!

No other team in the 25 year history of the league has accomplished what Cowboy Bills did during the play-offs on May 17/18 - to win 4 consecutive seasons the ever so coveted trophy of the Southernmost Bocce League; along with the BRAGGING RIGHTS to be called the best of Key West.

Is this now a legit point to call it a 'Dynasty'?

Perhaps Mr. Teagan Slaton will be able to de-mystyfy once he got elected to the Monroe County District Seat as a Judge! He certainly proved his competency on the Bocce Courts last weekend, so who could doubt his ability on any other courts!

Congratulations to Cowboy Bills on their accomplishment and perhaps a season off would be appreciated by the 53 other teams who try to become the Best of Key West!

With much delight did I come across the "No Sniveling" blog which is updated daily by John and Vicky.

John also posted an entry about the first "Official Bocce Championship" which is well worth reading. I admire that he (John) finally got over his complex not to publish on the web. That's a different story though altogether. Something you can read about in my personal google page.

And just John will read this: "I will get even" - promise. It's been 7 long years and it curls my stomach thinking about it. I'm truly sorry!
